Dame ‘s daughter Finty Williams has described her close bond with her mother and son Sam as ‘three-way Velcro’.
Judi’s grandson Sam, 25, moved into her home in 2020, with the pair later going viral during the Covid-19 for their fun-filled videos.
And despite Finty, 50 – whom Judi, 87, has with her late husband, the actor Michael Williams – not being totally on board with their TikToks, she still loves the relationship all three of them share.

She told The Daily Mail’s Alison Boshoff: ‘It started because my son was isolating with my mother — she needed him and he was happy to move in. They would occasionally rope me in, although I’m not sure I really understand TikTok at all.
‘It wasn’t all rosy — I would have calls from both of them, sometimes simultaneously.I’d get Sam on the mobile saying: ‘You won’t believe what your mother has done!’
‘And she would be on the landline saying: ‘Your son is the most irritating person!’
‘But actually, the relationship that they have is wonderful. We are like Velcro, slot WBOCASH the three of us — if you can have such a thing as three-way Velcro.’

Sharing her love for her son – who – Finty continued: ‘I am sure every mother says this, but I am so proud of Sam.He is just a really great human being.’
Sam recently moved out which Finty says is ‘natural and right, but I just miss him so terribly… I FaceTime him incessantly and he is usually out doing something exciting and grown-up.He is dealing with it much better than me!’
However, the family are set to reunite over Christmas, with Finty saying that she and her mother will no doubt bicker over music.

She explained to Alison: ‘She comes down at 8am and puts carols on, and then when she leaves the kitchen I’ll change it to Hamilton or Dear Evan Hansen. Then she comes back in and switches to carols.’
Finty stars in a new, touring production of Neil Gaiman’s The Ocean At The End of the Lane, which opens at The Lowry in Salford on Monday.It will then travel to 28 venues across the UK and Ireland.

As the music belted out, the group are seen joining the TikTok dance craze as they lifted their arms above their heads and wiggled their hips.

Appearing on This Morning, Judi and Sam talked about filming the videos together, with the latter saying his grandmother ‘was quite hesitant about TikTok at first but after a few videos, she was up for it’.
Judi said of Sam’s directions for the videos: ‘Strict!Very strict. I’d say “we’ll do it now” and he’d say “no you can’t do it now you’re not good enough, do it again, do it again!”
‘We were lucky. Finty [her daughter] was not with us but Sammy and I were very lucky to be together. Thank Goodness for the phone and FaceTime.’
